Theresa Shutt is Chief Investment Officer of Fiera Private Debt Group with responsibility for portfolio management and investor relations for the private debt platform with a leadership role in investment approval and fund strategy. Fiera Capital is a global independent asset management firm with over C$144 billion in AUM which delivers customized multi-asset solutions across traditional and alternative asset classes within North America, Europe and key markets in Asia.
Previously, Theresa was a Managing Director at BMO Corporate Finance where she originated and managed innovative financing solutions for mid-market Canadian companies incorporating senior debt, mezzanine financing and private equity.
From 2002 to 2010, she held a variety of roles at RBC and Scotiabank structuring fixed income and equity derivatives for corporations and asset managers.
Theresa holds a Masters of Economics degree from McMaster University, an MBA from the Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto and is a CFA charterholder.
