Dave Bulger is a Portfolio Manager focused on Fixed Income. He has been with Tacita Capital since 2016 and in the investment industry over 10 years. Dave has a Bachelor of Applied Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Toronto. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder and holds the Chartered Investment Manager (CIM®) designation.

As a member of the Fixed Income Committee, Dave steers fixed income decisions on allocation, positioning, and security selection. Dave employs an array of models for forecasting yield curve positioning that successfully avoided the recent bond bear market. Dave regularly reviews interest rates, yield curves, credit spreads and ratings, liquidity, and duration metrics. He models inputs such as monetary and fiscal policy, central bank positioning and inflation trends.

Dave also co-manages the TCI Premia Preferred Share Pool, which has been a leader in risk-adjusted returns amongst Canadian peers. The success of the fund has stemmed from opportunistic positioning based on the evolving preferred share landscape and interest rate environment.
