Kale Brown joined the Higher Education Quality Council of Ontario (HEQCO) in 2021 as the Director of Finance and Administration where he is responsible for the ongoing financial operations and corporate administration of the agency. Kale also held senior leadership positions in public administration both as the Director of Corporate Services for the Town of Aylmer and as the Director of Economic Development with the Town of Ingersoll.
Prior to entering the public sector, Kale was a Vice President with Barclays Capital in the Sterling Credit Trading team based in Canary Wharf, London, UK where he traded corporate bonds and asset backed securities through the credit crisis of 2008-2011. Before joining Barclays Capital, he was part of the Global Infrastructure Group for Fitch Ratings in London where he managed the bond rating processes for a variety of asset classes including asset backed corporate securitizations.
Kale holds a Master of Public Administration (MPA) from the University of Western Ontario, a Master of Science (MSc) in Finance from Durham University in the UK and a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance and Economics from Saint Mary’s University in Halifax.
