Algonquin Capital is a boutique investment firm founded on a simple and age-old idea: ‘robbing’ banks. As fixed-income traders, we saw the opportunity to take the strategies we executed for the banks and apply them to problems facing investors and portfolio managers. Our first offering, the Algonquin Debt Strategies Fund, addresses the challenges of the low, and potentially rising, interest rate environment. We do so by providing portfolio diversification through alternative fixed income strategies that can generate strong returns whether interest rates rise, fall, or stay the same.
