CHRIS AVERY was appointed President & CEO in October 2018 after joining First Air in July 2017 as Vice President, Customer and Commercial. He joined First Air with 20+ years airline industry experience, previously as Vice-President, Network Planning, Alliances and Corporate Development with WestJet. Chris also lead the growth of WestJet Vacations as its Vice-President and General Manager and has served as Vice-President, Revenue and Planning with WestJet. Prior to WestJet, Chris held progressive management roles with Alaska Airlines, Canadian Airlines and Transat Holidays. He has a Bachelor of Economics degree from the University of Western Ontario and an MBA from the John Molson School of Business at Concordia University.
