After graduating from Carleton University with a master’s degree in economics, he began his career at Pandion Investments, where his team managed the Desmarais family investment portfolio. He quickly went on to join the Mohawk Council of Kahnawake where he became the MCK’s first Investment Manager. He was tasked with creating and managing Kahnawake’s Sovereign Wealth Fund, an investment vehicle which will be used to generate wealth and financial independence for the Mohawks of Kahnawake. He is also responsible for investing the premiums received from an in-house insurance business. Branden sits on the Mohawk Council of Kahnawake’s Investment Committee and is the Chairman of the community’s public pension fund. In total, he oversees $300,000,000 of AUM.
