Michael joined the Canada Post Corporation Pension Plan in 2024 to oversee the private markets infrastructure investment portfolio. Prior to joining Canada Post, Michael was the Head of the North American Private Markets Infrastructure practice at Mercer Alternatives, where he chaired Mercer’s Infrastructure Research Review Committee; was a member of the Infrastructure Investment Committee for Mercer-managed private markets funds; and, provided consulting advice to large institutional pension plans on portfolio construction, fund manager selection, and direct investing. Michael has also worked as an equity research analyst at BMO Capital Markets covering North American power, utilities and renewable energy sectors. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) degree from the University of British Columbia, is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CA), and a CFA Charterholder.
