CEO & Co-Founder
ESG Natural Resources
Working as mining engineer in his early career, Olivier Dufresne found inspiration in addressing sustainability, and specifically carbon emission, challenges in heavy-industries like mining and steelmaking. Prior to his current role, Mr. Dufresne was an Investment Banking Associate at BMO Capital Markets, where he played a key role in the execution of some of Quebec’s largest corporate transactions in the technology, power & utilities, and energy transition space. These experiences lead Olivier to co-found ESG Natural Resources, a carbon capture and storage company developing large-scale carbon removal projects that use mineral waste to permanently store CO2 into rocks. As CEO, he now directly oversees the development of both ESG Natural Resource's projects and standard protocols for the Voluntary Carbon Market.
