Balancing Fiduciary obligations with stakeholder expectations makes RI/ESG integration one of the most challenging exercises an asset owner undertakes, requiring specialised resources and constant monitoring. The need to build consensus and to present a cohesive thesis means plans sponsors should be able to measure the impact of their decisions, documenting how their exposure achieves the objective of cleansing their capital. RI/ESG Exchange Traded Funds provide consistent rules-based methodologies and transparent holdings to measure the impact of RI/ESG investment decisions. Uniform disciplines can be applied across regions and asset classes, providing a more concrete foundation for stakeholder discussions. When there is consistency in the exposure, there can be consistency in the Stewardship.
