Dr. Erkan Yönder is an Associate Professor of Real Estate Finance and the Chair of the Finance Department at John Molson School of Business, Concordia University.

Erkan mainly works on real estate finance concentrating on commercial real estate, commercial mortgages, and sustainable real estate. His research has been published in top-notch academic journals including Review of Finance and Real Estate Economics. His projects have also received several grants from National Pension Hub (NPH), Real Estate Research Institute (RERI), and European Public Real Estate Association (EPRA), and won the Nick Tyrrell Real Estate Research Prize in the UK and the best published article award from Principles for Responsible investment (PRI), a UN-supported initiative. He presented his academic works at leading universities such as MIT, Yale University, University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), and Cornell University.

Erkan received his PhD degree in Finance and Real Estate at Maastricht University in 2013.
