Alexandre was appointed Vice President of the Total Fund Strategy team within the Chief Investment Office at PSP Investments, one of Canada’s largest pension investment managers, on November 1st, 2019. In his current position, Alexandre and his team are responsible for the following activities: Portfolio Construction, Total Fund Management, Economics and Market Outlook, as well as Total Fund Research and Knowledge Management.
Since joining PSP Investments in August 2007, Alexandre has held the position of Senior Director, Public Market Risk from 2010 to 2012; was appointed Vice President, Public Market Risk in April 2012; and in 2016, assumed responsibility for Total Portfolio investment risk activities, managing the valuation of derivative products, public market risk, and total portfolio investment risk.
Alexandre started his career at Hydro-Québec, where he held Financial Risk Manager positions within Treasury and Hydro Quebec’s pension fund.
Alexandre holds a Master’s degree in Financial Engineering and from HÉC Montréal and a BSc in Mathematics from the Université de Montréal. A dedicated professional in quantitative financial markets, Alexandre has also taught at the graduate level on Interest Rate Derivatives and Risk Management.
