Peter Cashion is a Chief Investment Officer in the Financial Institutions Group (FIG) at the International Finance Corporation (IFC), a member of the World Bank Group. He has 25 years of experience at the IFC and has invested and managed portfolios across emerging markets in every region and across many products and sectors. He has spent 6 years abroad in Turkey, Cote d’Ivoire and Bangladesh. He has held a variety of senior positions, including the Global Head of the US$6 billion FIG Equity business. Currently, he leads the capital market investment activity in FIG across a variety of countries, and also heads equity business development with global financial partners. Previously, he was the FIG Equity Lead for Europe while based in Istanbul, and earlier in his career, he led the structured credit business in Latam and Africa. Peter has an MBA from Queen's University, a BA from Western and is a CFA Charterholder.
