As Alternatives Portfolio Strategist, Anne-Marie works with current and prospective clients regarding their investments in alternatives, and works closely with the multi-asset team. She also helps direct research associated with the investment attributes of alternatives.
Prior to joining State Street Global Advisors, Anne-Marie served as Chief Investment Officer at Matheys Lane Capital Management, a multi-family office where she oversaw asset allocation, fund research and monitoring, risk management and direct investments. Previously, Anne-Marie was Chief Investment Officer for the State of Rhode Island. She managed the State’s $8 billion defined benefit pension portfolio, including overall asset allocation, investment selection, manager due diligence, risk oversight, development of the investment policy statement, and regular reporting to stakeholders. She was also responsible for more than $6 billion in college-saving programs and other participant-directed assets. Earlier in her career, Anne-Marie managed a portfolio of hedge funds at J.P. Morgan Private Bank and was an equity analyst at J.P. Morgan Asset Management.
Anne-Marie is a published author (The Money Makers, Crown Business, 2009) and volunteers as an Investment Committee member for a $1.5 billion healthcare endowment and for a $35 million school endowment.
Anne-Marie is a graduate of Yale University, has a Master in Business Administration from Colombia University, and is a CFA Charterholder.
