Joseph Morgart is a Vice President and Client Portfolio Manager at Amundi Pioneer. Based in Boston, he focuses primarily on alternative investment strategies. Prior to joining Amundi Pioneer in 2015, Joseph was a Senior Vice President at Pyramis Global Advisors, where he focused on the firm’s alternatives capabilities. He led the firm’s efforts to build and develop its alternatives infrastructure, including product development, product management and operational support. He served as an Institutional Portfolio Manager responsible for communicating portfolio strategy, positioning and performance to investors and consultants for the firms alternative investment strategies, and was a firm spokesperson at industry conferences. Prior to Pyramis, Joseph was Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Boldwater Capital Management, a start-up alternatives manager focusing on high yield credit strategies for institutional investors. As co-founder, he was involved in all aspects of the company’s investment and business efforts, including sales, consultant and investor relations, and marketing. Prior to Boldwater he was a Vice President at Deutsche Banc Alex. Brown where he implemented an alternative investment-focused business platform for institutional clients. He has also held positions at Anchor Russell Capital Advisors, Bank of Boston, and IBM. Joseph is Chair of the Investment Committee of The Landmark School, a member of the Investment Committees of Combined Jewish Philanthropies and Jewish Big Brother Sister Endowment, and a Board Member of the Boston Hedge Fund Association. He has been a guest lecturer at Harvard Business School and The Sloan School of Management at MIT. He has a B.A. from Johnson State College in Johnson, Vermont, and an M.B.A. in Finance from Northeastern University.
