Dev Das is Director, Investment Risk at CPP Investments. In his role, Dev heads risk oversight of Credit and Private Investments within CPP Investments with a total AUM of ~$200Bn., including a global portfolio of Credit Investments, Private Equity (including Direct Private Equity and PE Funds) and Real Assets (including Infrastructure, Energy & Resources, Power & Renewables). In addition, Dev’s group also manages an internal credit rating process used to assign credit ratings to all investments towards estimating total fund impairment risk. Lastly, Dev also manages the process of assessing reputational impacts associated with CPP Investments’ public investments using ESG considerations. Dev has been with CPP Investments over 10 years. Prior to CPP Investments, Dev was at Moody’s Investors Service, where he was a Credit Rating Analyst covering the North American TMT and Paper & Forest Products sectors. Prior to that, Dev was in Investment Banking at RBC Capital Markets covering US Media & Telecom. He started his career with Arthur Andersen and KPMG in their Tax Consulting practices. Dev qualified as a Chartered Accountant, and holds an MBA from McGill University, Montreal.
