Leon Lu is the Portfolio Manager, Head of Fixed Income of the University of Toronto Asset Management Corporation (UTAM). Leon joined UTAM in 2012. Leon plays a key role in UTAM’s investment activities, overseeing all fixed income investment portfolios (including private credit). Within these portfolios, Leon leads portfolio construction, investment strategy and monitoring. Prior to joining UTAM, Leon spent nearly four years with HSBC Bank Canada. Leon has a Master’s degree in Mathematical Finance (M.Sc.) from the University of British Columbia and an undergraduate degree in Mathematics (B.Sc.) from Peking University. He also holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) designations.
