Todd is focused on building IMCO’s economic outlook, overseeing the development of a macroeconomic modeling framework and providing in-depth analysis of economic, monetary and financial policy developments. He will also lead the portfolio construction team in identifying key drivers of IMCO clients’ liability profiles and assist them in their strategic asset allocation to IMCO products.

Most recently, Todd was Chief Economist and Strategist, Asset Allocation and Alternatives at Mackenzie Investments. His 20-year career in economics and research has included senior roles with the International Monetary Fund (IMF), including Deputy Division Chief, Fiscal Operations and Senior Economist. Todd also held positions at the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (CPPIB) and within the federal Ministry of Finance.

Todd holds a B.A. in Economics from Queen’s University, a Master’s in Economics from the University of British Columbia and a PhD in Economics (International Macroeconomics & Finance) from Queen’s University.
