Scott has been the President and CEO of the Clean Foundation for the past seven years. Clean works with many partners to support the transition to the clean low carbon economy through a number of key impact areas including the reduction of energy poverty, support for underserved communities, protection of the natural environment, action on climate change mitigation and adaption, contributing to the clean economy labour force and the development of smart climate policy.
Scott is the current Chair of the Nova Scotia Roundtable of the Environment and Sustainable Prosperity. He also sits on the Advisory Council of the Canadian Climate Institute and the Board of Wind4All Communities, a Community Economic Development Investment Fund. Scott was named as one of 26 ‘Canadian Climate Champions’ by the British High Commission in Canada and the Canadian Climate Law Initiative leading up to the UN Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP26).
Scott has over a decade of experience on topics relevant to the low carbon economy transition including energy efficiency, clean tech, energy policy and high impact program design and delivery. He is also an alumnus of both Saint Mary’s and Dalhousie Universities.
