Maxime Aucoin has been Executive Vice-President, Investment Strategies and Innovation since March 2018. The group he leads is responsible for managing asset allocation, generating new investment opportunities and becoming a pillar of innovation for CDPQ. In his role, he oversees dynamic asset allocation, portfolio construction, currency management and a multidisciplinary innovation team. He is a member of the Executive and Investment-Risk Committees.

Mr. Aucoin joined CDPQ in 2012 as Vice-President, Strategy, advising senior management on developing and executing the company’s strategy and other major strategic initiatives, before taking on the role of Senior Vice-President, Total Portfolio. Previously, he worked for management consulting firm McKinsey & Company, advising multinationals in the financial and manufacturing sectors. He started his career at Cirque du Soleil in strategy.

He holds an MBA from the Harvard Business School and a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance from HEC Montréal. He is also a CFA charterholder.
